Many are still analyzing and reacting to Governor Tom Corbett’s proposed
budget in response to the money plan. The United Ways of Wyoming Valley
and Greater Hazleton will host a town hall meeting from 2 to 4 on
Thursday, March 8 at King’s College to discuss the proposed state budget
and its impact on local social service agencies. The president of the
United Way of Pennsylvania, will present the human service’s details of
the governor’s budget. Representatives of agencies that provide social
services throughout the county will serve as panelists. All area
nonprofits, elected officials, business leaders, clients and concerned
community members are invited to attend. The event is free. Those who

must be made by March 5.
