Sugarloaf Home Fire

A home on Twin Lane in Sugarloaf Township caught fire Monday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived on scene, smoke was pouring from the second
floor of the home. News 13 talked with Fire Chief, Duane Hildebrand, who
said the fire left some heavy structural damage, but was contained to
that single home. According to the fire chief, a State Police Fire
Marshal was called in along with the Red Cross. A family of 5 did live
in the home, but no one was home at the time of the fire. Seven local
fire companies assisted in battling the blaze. The fire was under
control within 20 minutes. Luckily a passer by noticed the fire and
called 9-1-1 which made for a quick response from fire crews.
