Road Rage Leads To Driver Being Shot
On Nov 14, 2019 around 5:45pm, PA State Police responded to a road rage incident on I-81 N near mile marker 140.
Kenneth Kuras, 56 yrs. old from Wilkes-Barre, pointed a 9mm handgun at James Leiphart, 26 yrs. old from Warrior Run.
Kuras fired one round at Leiphart’s door which struck him in the right ankle. Leiphart was transported the LVHN Hazleton for treatment and released.
Kuras was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering as well as several vehicle code violations.
Kuras is at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility pending his preliminary hearing date.
