Public Assistance for 12 yr. old struck on his bicycle
Hazleton City Police Department are investigating a crash involving a 12 year old male child riding his bicycle, which involved a vehicle and bicycle. According to the child, he was struck by a vehicle as he rode his bicycle in the street. The child suffered injuries requiring medical treatment. The crash occurred on June 22, 2019 at approximately 8:00PM. The crash was on Hazle Street between Mine and Chestnut Streets.
Witnesses described that the vehicle involved was a BLUE color Subaru and that it was being driven by a middle aged Causcasian male with gray colored hair and a receding hairline. It is also known that an unknown individual stopped to render aid. Hazleton Police Detective Sergeant David Rodick is the point of contact and the public is encouraged to assist in identifying the driver and/or the person who stopped to help the child.
Police want to talk to the driver who is encouraged to come forth to provide his details of the event.
