Ninth Congressional District Art Competition

The 2019 Ninth Congressional District Art Competition has begun. The winning work from the Ninth District will be displayed along with winners from other congressional districts across the country in the United States Capitol. The competition is open to high school students residing in the Ninth District.

Submissions are due to the Congressman’s office by April 26th and may be turned in at any of the locations below. Students’ artwork will be judged by an independent panel of Ninth District art experts, and will be assessed on artistic ability and creativity. A Student Information and Release Form must be filled out and accompany each submission. June 24 Winners’ Reception and Unveiling at the U.S. Capitol in Washington

Artwork Guidelines

No larger than (h) 26” x (w) 26” x (d) 4”, incl. frame
Weigh no more than 15 pounds
Must be in its original medium, not scanned
Acceptable media include:
Mixed media
Collages (two-dimensional)
Entries must be original in concept and execution, and may not violate U.S. copyright laws
