HPD seize guns, money, drugs
The Hazleton Police Department Narcotics Division and Patrol Division assisted Agents from the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole at 132 East Green Street, Hazleton.
During the investigation, Detectives and Agents recovered a HighPoint JHP .45 caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number, a Wester Arms double barrel shotgun with altered barrel, grip and no serial number, five (5) bricks or 249 packets of heroin and/or fentanyl, 136 grams of marijuana, $3580.00 US Currency, (3) cell phones, (3) digital scales and paraphernalia.
Marquis Alberto DeLeon (24 yoa) was charged by HPD Narcotics Detectives with; Possession of a Firearm w/ Manufacturer Number Altered (Felony 2), Possession of Firearm Prohibited (Felony 2), Firearms not to be carried without a License (Felony 3), Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) (Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Misdemeanor).
DeLeon was arraigned by District Justice Webby who set bail at $100,000.00 straight. DeLeon remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
