Domestic Fight Leads To Arrest

On May 20, 2019, at approximately 1053 hours, Hazleton police officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of N. Locust Street on a report of two males fighting inside the residence and one was in possession of a firearm and the other was in possession of an axe.

Upon arrival, Boaz Montanero and Caleb Montanero were ordered out of the residence and detained. While being removed from the residence both denied being in possession of any weapons and stated nothing was going inside the residence.

Contact was made with the homeowner who observed Boaz in possession of a black handgun and that during the altercation the witness was able to pick up the weapon and place it in a safe area and then fled from the residence.

The officers conducted a search of the location and recovered a black, BB-Gun wrapped in a sock in an upstairs bedroom, a box of marijuana, coke cocaine, crystal meth and heroin.

Boaz Montanero, was transported to Hazleton Police Headquarters and charged with multiple counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance W/Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Harassment.

Caleb Montanero was cited for Harassment on scene and released.

Boaz has been charged and will be arraigned.
