On Feb. 13 around 9:30am, Hazleton Police were dispatched to the report of an unresponsive male in the parking lot of 1003 N. Vine St. Upon arrival Officers located the victim laying unresponsive in the parking lot, bleeding from the head. Through the course of the investigation Officers discovered that the male had been assaulted, and that during the assault the actor stomped on his head several times. The victim was transported to a regional trauma center where remains hospitalized with severe brain injuries. Officer later learned the identify of the actor, Joshua Keziah, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On 02/16/21, Hazleton Police, with the assistance of the US Marshals Fugitve Task Force and Briar Creek Township Police Departement, executed a search warrant at Keziah’s reisdence in Berwick. Keziah was found at home at the time and taken into custody without incident. Keziah was later arraigned by Magistrate Joseph Zola who denied bail due to the severity of the injuries and the victims current condition. Keziah was subsequently remanded to Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
