Trespassing Thieves

Three people were arrested Tuesday afternoon when police caught them trespassing at a former church in downtown Hazleton. News 13 was there as the trespassing thieves were taken into custody outside of the former St. Pauls Church and Rectory on Green Street. City Police got a call that there were people inside the building who did not belong there. When officers tracked them, the trio was in the process of stealing copper piping and parts of radiators. After police cuffed the three thieves, they called for code enforcement officers to come to the church to survey the damage and help secure the structure so no other trespassers could get in. The trio now faces trespassing and theft charges
