Robbery Suspects Nabbed

The first time they got away with 4 to 5 hundred dollars…the second
time, nothing, but it didn’t take long for police to nab the alleged bad
guys.It all started Saturday morning in West Hazleton at Puff and Stuff
on 4th Street.
A man with a machete walked into the store and demanded money. He then
got away in a white neon with another male behind the wheel. The same
robber returned around 8:00 Saturday night for a second attempt, but
wasn’t so lucky because of a brave worker who pulled a baseball bat on
the robber. Both crimes were caught on camera.*
*22 year old Gary Kripp II of West Hazleton is who police say was the
actual robber. 23 year old Mitchel Klingerman of Zion Grove allegedly
was the getaway driver.Thankfully for police, the store has a
surveillance system with 16 cameras, which can be credited for helping
Investigators catch the duo. The get-away car was seen in the video and
all local police departments were on alert for it. Butler Township
Police pulled over a car matching the description, on a routine traffic
stop, and it ended up being the getaway car with the alleged robbers
were inside. *
*West Hazleton Police Chief Buglio says Kripp and Klingerman are also
suspects in two armed robberies in Hazleton City at the Pantry Quik on
East Diamond Avenue and Pence’s on Alter Street.
Charges related to those crimes are pending, however both men admitted
to those crimes.
For now, Kripp and Klingerman are in the Luzerne County Prison.
According to police, there was also a juvenile female involved in
Saturday’s hold ups in West Hazleton.
