Police Warn Seniors of Online Scams
When senior citizen, Dana Resuta gets an email from someone she doesn’t know asking for money she deletes it. On Tuesday, police said crimes targeting senior citizens is a real issue that hurts many innocent people, so don’t be fooled. Dana said she can’t be tricked, but she know some older folks who may not know if they’re being scammed. To help from being scammed police advise seniors to respond cautiously to emails and avoid people who ask for money. Most importantly, if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
