No “Bangs” in Borough

If you live in the borough of West Hazleton don’t even have to worry
about practicing safe use of fireworks this Independence Day Holiday,
because fireworks are outlawed all together in that community.**Pop caps
and sparklers are welcome to be a part of your celebration, but any
other type of firework is simply not allowed. Its state law that a
permit is needed in order to ignite the larger firework displays, but
the borough of West Hazleton will not be giving any out.***
*Extra Police Officers will be hitting the streets during the Holiday to
make sure residents are following the rules.
Those who decide to turn a blind eye may get away with a warning the
first time, but police say citations will be issued to second offenders.
