Motorcyclist Killed in Tamaqua

According to The Hazleton Standard Speaker, a motorcyclist was killed in a crash that also involved two tractor-trailers at 12:47 p.m. Friday along state Route 309 in South Tamaqua, near the West Penn Township/Tamaqua border. West Penn Township Police Chief Brian Johnson said preliminary findings put the cyclist at fault but that more investigation needs to be done.
The victim has not yet been identified. News 13 will have more information as it becomes available.
Oh, so that’s what it was. I drove through there about 90 minutes ago and one tractor trailer was still on 309. That’s too bad.
