Flipped Car Traps Woman

An elderly woman was trapped in her car briefly after it flipped onto its roof in the City of Hazleton earlier Monday afternoon. It happened on 9th Street. The woman, 64-year-old Lia Ciotola of McKinley Street in Hazleton, was freed by Police Officers and Firefighters within minutes of the accident happening. She was bleeding from her head and went to the hospital. Police tell News 13, the woman was traveling on 9th street when she hit a sliver pick up parked on the side of the roadway. The impact caused the car to flip trapping the woman inside.
