Local Police Go To Training

Local law enforcement officials are always brushing up on their skills
and learning new aspects of the job through training and specialized
classes…
Two members of the Hazleton Police Department recently attended the
Pennsylvania State Police Property Room Management Course at the State
Police Northeast Training Center in Forty Fort…basically learning how
to properly handle evidence from various crimes…anything from drugs,
money, weapons and more.
City Officers, SGT. Michael Strenchock and Patrolman James Senape were
provided with critical information to develop, enhance or restructure
their policies and procedures for evidence handling…
The intent of the course included receiving and logging evidence,
physical security of property and evidence, types of evidence and proper
storage…along with the chain of custody for evidence and how to
properly dispose of it…
